For steroid or OstenilPlus injections: Initial telephone consultation/ contact at your convenience, to discuss your condition and check to see if injection is appropriate for you. If so, an appointment for face to face assessment and injection will be made. All in one visit, it's as easy as that! Appointments are available within a week. No waiting list. No referral needed. Corticosteroid
A corticosteroid injection effectively alleviates pain and diminishes swelling within the body. By administering the steroid directly into the affected joint or soft tissue, it actively engages with the area, curbing the inflammatory reaction. This intervention not only minimizes discomfort but also facilitates enhanced mobility, enabling smoother and more effortless movement.
OSTENIL® PLUS A solution containing a high concentration of sodium hyaluronate, (Hyaluronic acid), with the addition of mannitol. It is injected into the space in a joint that contains synovial fluid and works by restoring the normal balance between the breakdown and production of sodium hyaluronate.
OSTENIL® PLUS is a single injection option and can help to lubricate the joint for 6-9 months.
