Rapid Joint Relief · Treatment information

Explore injection treatments in Sheffield and Cowes

Finding an injection page is a way to prepare for a conversation, not a way to diagnose yourself. Rapid Joint Relief offers joint injection consultations at its Sheffield and Cowes clinics. The information here explains the listed options, their prices and the questions you may want to bring to an appointment.

An assessment comes first. An injection is only given if clinically appropriate, and choosing a treatment page does not mean that treatment will be recommended. Results vary and are not guaranteed. You can ask about risks and alternatives before making a decision.

Steroid injections

Understand assessment, steroid injection prices and possible side effects before deciding.

Knee injections

Compare steroid, hyaluronic acid and Arthrosamid options for a knee consultation.

Shoulder injections

Discuss shoulder pain or frozen shoulder without assuming an injection is the right choice.

Hip injections

Prepare questions about hip pain, assessment and whether an injection is appropriate.

01

Start with the area you want to discuss

The knee, shoulder, hip and tennis elbow pages focus on the concern you want to talk about. They describe an assessment-led approach rather than assuming that all pain in the same area has the same cause. You do not need to decide which injection you want before discussing your symptoms.

If you have shoulder pain or have been told you have a frozen shoulder, you can discuss whether an injection may be appropriate. For any joint or tendon concern, explain what is bothering you and what you want to understand. The clinician can consider your circumstances rather than relying on a website description.

02

Understand the different options

Steroid injections can reduce inflammation and pain, but are not suitable for everyone. The hyaluronic acid page describes the existing OSTENIL PLUS, Monovisc and CINGAL listings. CINGAL combines hyaluronic acid with a corticosteroid; it is not the same product as Monovisc or OSTENIL PLUS.

Arthrosamid is a separate injectable hydrogel option for knee osteoarthritis. Its listed service is ultrasound-guided and costs £2,300 at both clinics. This does not mean that other injections are ultrasound-guided. Read the Arthrosamid page to consider its permanent nature, risks and the existing manufacturer sources.

03

Check the clinic and the price

Joint injections are available at both locations. The Sheffield clinic is at Rapid Health Hub, 119 Wales Road, Kiveton Park, Sheffield S26 6RA. The Cowes clinic is at 2 Mill Hill Road, Cowes PO31 7EA, on the Isle of Wight. The location pages contain the addresses and directions links.

Vitamin consultations and injections are Cowes only. They are not offered at the Sheffield clinic. The Cowes vitamin page lists B12, vitamin D, vitamin C, biotin and the multi-vitamin bundle. Screening and individual suitability come before a treatment decision; a listed service is not a promise that you will receive an injection.

04

Prepare for a consultation

Sarah is an Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Practitioner and prescriber, with 29 years in musculoskeletal care. She has an NHS role alongside the clinic and has been injecting for over 16 years. Tell the clinician about medicines, allergies, infections and diabetes, and bring questions about your options.

Use the pricing page to compare the exact listed services. For booking, go to the booking page and choose Sheffield or Cowes in WriteUpp. You can also call 07872 582728 or use WhatsApp to ask a question. These contact routes are not emergency services.
